This is a whole different take on floral scents. No surprise for Byredo though. I expected something else from the name only and I'm quite taken with this one too. I feel like those who like Mojave ghost, will like Bal D'Afrique. Also, it's quite hard to describe. What I can say, it is easily a summer or office scent, not too pushy, while still present. It has some sourness to it and warmth at the same time. This one really is a sensory love affair and will be in my collection soon enough.

This perfume is truly unique. It has a warm scent that immediately made me think of caramel. It reminds me a lot of an apple caramel pie or a high-end pastry shop. However, it’s not a good choice for me—too warm, sweet, and heavy. While I appreciate the combination of notes, it’s just not to my taste.
